I'm Evan from Sydney, Australia. In regards to your article, "Why some people will never make it in the recording industry", I couldn't agree more. I got my diploma in Technical Production through my local TAFE.
The people in my class who played up are working at their local music store selling gear/instruments. I am working as a live sound engineer at venues throughout Sydney, and have been since before i even finished my diploma.
Why? cause I hung around the right people, worked like a dog, and soon enough other people noticed. So to all those people out there who want to make it, don't be a smart arse.

I loved that article. I use to teach at [name of school deleted] for 2 years. The attitude from students is horrible there and even from the staff. It is a cash cow there. I complained about some students and their attitude. I was told just put up with it so that can continue to the next class. The lunatics are running the asylum! For what that school cost they should be great engineers. NOT!

Hi David,
The best I have known in Nashville such as Jerry Sayer, James Stroud, all the Nashville A Team and most all of the top artist are nice guys and gals.They treat you like somebody even though you might not be anyone.
This speaks highly of someone. Like you said they are always on time and polite. To meet them on the street you might thinkthey are a nobody when in reality they are the cream of the crop.
